Using surface division techniques, I explore visual contrast and harmony by applying various textures and colors to each space. In this work, I use flowers as the main image to separate nature and urban space, expressing the interaction and tension between them. Nature, symbolizing beauty and peace, is depicted through soft colors and organic textures, with flowers serving as a prime example. Conversely, urban spaces are represented by cool colors and sharp textures, creating a linear, artificial feel.
Through these distinctions and contrasts, I aim to visually explore the complex relationships between natural and human-made environments. The natural image of flowers serves as a bridge between the two spaces, reminding us that nature can thrive in city centers and that urban areas are also a part of nature. Each section of the work holds independent meaning through its unique textures and colors, yet together they form a cohesive whole.
This symbolizes that, although nature and urban spaces may seem like opposing elements, they ultimately coexist within one large ecosystem. My work invites the audience to reconsider the interaction between nature and the city and to reflect on their harmonious coexistence. Through this artistic exploration, I hope to deepen our understanding of the environment we live in and inspire a vision of a harmonious future.
